Charlotte Driscall was hired at Tiffany Studios with a group of women to replace the striking male employees who refused to train young apprentices..... when she fell asleep at her desk, dreaming of dragonflys and went on to win a first place at the 1915 International Exibition in Paris with the fruit of her vision, her dragonfly lamp has been a favorite, maybe the most reproduced of all the Tiffany lampshades.
